Cafeteria Expansion In Development
WhiteSpace Architects was honored to help create a space that strengthens the sense of connection for the Kanoelani Elementary School community. The newly completed outdoor Pavilion now provides the school with a covered, open-air gathering area large enough to host the entire student body — rain or shine — for the very first time. Designed to take advantage of natural ventilation with open sides and orienting to prevailing breezes, the Pavilion supports assemblies, performances, presentations, and outdoor learning.
During the grand opening, Principal N. Blomberg shared a moving message that reflects the heart of this project:
“You built more than just a building, you built a legacy for our community.”
The Cafeteria Expansion phase is currently in development. Once complete, it will increase capacity, enhance functionality, and further support the growing needs of the campus.
Together, these improvements reflect the school’s forward-thinking approach to learning and wellness, and its commitment to fostering an environment where students can thrive.
